How it Works?
The light which is produced by the sun contains energy. All light contains energy for that matter, but most of the time the energy is developed in the form of heat. A great example of this is a swimming pool cover. When the water is covered by the plastic bubble sheet (commonly referred to as a solar cover) the water in the pool becomes warmer.
Now, the sun’s light does not always produce heat. There are certain materials such as the silicon crystals and copper-indium-gallium-selenide used in solar panels which when penetrated by the sun’s rays produced an electrical current..
